Minds Matter

Minds Matter is a free mentoring and academic enrichment program that helps high-achieving, low-income high school students prepare for college through weekend sessions, summer programs, and test prep. Students are matched with mentors and receive support throughout high school.

Open to NYC 9th and 10th-graders from low-income households with strong academic records and college aspirations.

Mount Sinai Hospital Placement Program

This program provides selected high school students with direct exposure to hospital departments such as pediatrics, radiology, or emergency medicine. Students shadow medical professionals and learn about patient care in a real clinical setting.

Mount Sinai Medical and Scientific Exploration Program (MaSEP)

Open to rising NYC high school juniors and seniors from all backgrounds; no prior knowledge of Jewish history required.

NASA Stem Engagement

A paid, multi-session program offering high school students hands-on STEM opportunities, on-site or virtual, working alongside NASA scientists and engineers on real-world projects in areas like space science, technology, and communications.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens aged 16 or older, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be enrolled full-time in grades 10–12 (or equivalent full-time college enrollment), with commitments ranging from 10-week summer to 15-week academic sessions.
