Girls StartUp Accelerator Internship

This program empowers high school girls to develop business ideas, learn entrepreneurial skills, and launch ventures with mentorship and support. Interns engage in workshops, pitch events, and startup development.

Open to high school girls (typically ages 14–18); priority may be given to underrepresented or underserved students.

Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program (SIP)

SIP is a free two-week virtual program where high school girls learn the basics of computer science, gain exposure to tech careers, and build community with peers and mentors. Students may receive a need-based stipend if eligible.

Open to rising 10th–12th grade students who identify as female or nonbinary; U.S. residency required, and no prior coding experience is necessary.

Global Glimpse

A paid summer remote position (about 24–32 hours/week) to support program operations, communications, and team initiatives—gaining leadership, project management, and nonprofit experience.

Must have completed a Global Glimpse travel program, graduated high school (current seniors are not eligible), and be available part-time during the summer within ET/CT/MT/PT working hours.

GO Getter Summer Internship

A free, five-week opportunity for NYC high school students to serve as teaching assistants in K–5 classrooms, developing leadership and social justice awareness through professional development sessions and culminating service projects.

Open to rising 10th graders through recent grads in good academic standing, who are committed to educational equity, teamwork, and completing the full summer program (including orientation and trainings).

Harlem School of the Arts – Kenan Scholars Artists Collective

This program supports talented high school students in developing their creative voice through year-round interdisciplinary arts training, mentorship, and performance opportunities. Scholars participate in masterclasses, community projects, and professional development.

Open to high school students (grades 9–12) with a demonstrated commitment to an art form;an audition or portfolio may be required.

HIRES Summer Internship

A free, immersive 7-week research program at CUNY and Columbia’s Grove School of Engineering where NYC high school students work with scientists on remote sensing, GIS, and environmental research.

High school students (typically 10th–12th grade) from New York City with an interest in climate science or environmental systems; participants should be available full-time from June to August and ready to engage in hands-on research and coursework.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF)

HSF provides merit-based scholarships and support services to Hispanic students pursuing higher education. Scholars gain access to mentorship, career prep, and networking opportunities in addition to funding.

Open to high school seniors of Hispanic heritage with a minimum 3.0 GPA; U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DACA required.
